Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan netted his first season goal as Kayserispor ran riot over Pazarspor in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday.
The former Sunderland man's opener set the tone for a 6-1 home triumph at Kadir Has Stadium.
There was more delight for the forward as he ended the game with two assists to his name.
Wednesday's exploits mark the end of a frustrating spell for the 32-year-old whose last goal prior was against Akhisarspor in February.
Gyan put Kayserispor in the lead in the 14th minute after being assisted by Silvestre Varela.
Tamer Arici, however, restored parity for Pazarspor 10 minutes later before Gyan's compatriot Bernard Mensah set up Bilal Basacikoglu to take the home side 2-1 up seven minutes after recess.
Then there was a quick succession of assists for Gyan in the 59th and 60th minutes as Mert Ozyildirim and Mensah scored to put the Anatolian Star 4-1 up.
Oleksandre Kucher and Varela added two more goals to wrap up the big win.
Gyan and Mensah did not last for the entire duration of the game as they were replaced in the 75th and 74th minutes respectively.
The win sends Kayserispor to the fifth round of the cup competition.
Following his first start of the season, Gyan will hope to have Wednesday's display rewarded with a maiden first XI place in the Turkish Super Lig this campaign when the Anatolian Star play away to Ankaragucu on Sunday.
He has so far made only three substitute appearances in the topflight this term.
