For Ghana's Black Stars maiden appearance in World Cup 2006 in Germany to bear riped fruit, the press and individuals alike must express a good amount of respect for Cape Verde and the entire Black Stars set up need even a greater amount of caution and determination. Lack of these qualities robbed Ghana in previous near misses such as Burundi, etc. when the great Abedi Peles and Tony Yeboahs were at their peak. The David and Goliath battle is always a reminder and very possible in every situation. The minnow can spoil the chance and the party the same way a leper will do to a pot of fresh palm wine if disregarded. No need to look back or compare scores with other teams. It takes only an effort to conquer and defeat, win or lose. Media reports so far, are not giving much credit to Cape Verde forgetting that they hold Ghana's ticket to the fiesta and it is dangerous to underrate any opponent in such deciders. It must be noted they have done exceedingly well for their size and the fact that most of their young men are seafarers who don't leave at home. It is eleven against eleven so show respect and Black Stars must die a little for themselves as worthy warriors for Ghana. The whole Africa and the world perhaps, have waited long enough to have Ghana flag fly amongst the elites at the top level so arrogance and indiscipline must give way to humility and hard work. Thanks and may God Almighty lead the glorious Black Stars to soccer's heaven, Amen and AMEN.
