FC Augsburg admit they are still looking at the situation surrounding Daniel Opare who is currently suspended from first-team duties.
The 25-year-old was suspended from all club activities after turning up late for training last month and has still to make his debut for the Bundesliga side following a switch from FC Porto last summer.
Injury prevented the Ghana international from playing early in the campaign but he was back in contention for the game with Darmstadt on March 12.
The Fuggerstadter had hoped to include the African in their match-day squad but he was late to training during the week and incurred the wrath of manager Markus Weinzierl.
He has now apologised for what he described as a “mistake because I did not hear my alarm” but Dominik Schmitz, the club’s media director, told BBC Sport: “We are currently working on a solution to the problem relating to Daniel Opare.”
