Executive Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko SC, Dr. Kwame Kyei has reposed confidence and trust in the head coach of the club, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabien to take the club to the promise land.
Dr. Kwame Kyei is hopeful that the changes Paa Kwesi Fabin has made to the playing body will inure immense benefit to the course of the club anon.
The business mogul affirms the fact that the former national U-17 gaffer is in charge of the technical team and harbors the belief that all will be well soon.
“The coach is taking control over everything in the club. I cannot select his players for him. I’ve just come into the team.
“We just hope all what has happened will be fruitful and the changes that he has made will be of relevant. I’m very hopeful Kotoko will get back to glorious days.” Dr. Kyei told the media at Golden Tulip in Kumasi.
The Kotoko chief remains optimistic that Asante Kotoko will win the league and calls for calm as the club encounter challenges.
“What we’ve witnessed over the years wouldn’t continue for years. Team building isn’t a day’s job. It’s just a matter of time. If we win the league this year, that will be fine but if not, I know we will win it in the future.”
Dr. Kwame Kyei has served 18-months of his three-year mandate given him by the Life Patron of the club Otumfour Osei Tutu II and the club is on record recruiting 34 players and six coaches within that spate of time.
Asante Kotoko are currently at a camping base at Asante Mampong where they are preparing for their next league game against Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
