Osam Duodu was a hero to Ghana football and we will miss him - Oti Akenteng

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng says the loss of Fred Osam Duodu is unfortunate and that Ghana Football will definitely miss him.

Duodu who won the Africa Cup of Nations as head coach of the Black Stars passed away on Tuesday evening after battling illness at the Korlebu Teaching hospital.

The veteran Ghanaian coach was a technical director of the Ghana Football Association and also helped the Black Starlets win the CAF U-17 championship in 1993.

“For me Osam was a hero and I am very proud that he contributed so much to Ghana Football,” Oti Akenteng told Citi FM

“He brought a lot to Ghana Football and we will miss him because he was such a powerful football brain.”

" The younger generation should look at his life and work towards being the best they can.”

"For me he was hero to Ghana Football and we will miss but we take heart in his good work."
