Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari has identified his impressive display in the Belgrade Derby as the pivotal moment that paved his way to the Major League Soccer side, Austin FC.

In an interview with Austin media, Bukari shared his thoughts on the significant event that led to his transfer to the Texas-based club.

The skillful winger caught the attention of Austin FC scouts with his agility, technique, and overall impact on the game, ultimately securing his spot on the MLS team.

The Black Stars winger secured a move to the Texas-based club as a Designated Player from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade at the end of May.

Bukari signed a three-year deal, keeping him at Austin FC until 2027, and he is expected to play a huge role for the team.

"I think in Belgrade, there is the derby game against Partizan, and I think that game is tough," he said. "There was a game we won 3-2 over Partizan where I gave an assist and won a penalty for them.

"I think that game, he watched it and saw that I have something to give on the pitch; that's why he tried to bring me here," he added.

Bukari arrives after a back-to-back double with Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.
