Otto Addo eyes vacant Black Stars coaching position

Hamburg youth side coach and ex-Ghana midfielder Otto Addo is interested in becoming the next Black Stars coach following the Ghana FA’s decision to part ways with Kwesi Appiah.

According to a Graphic Sports publication, sources close to the Hamburg U19 coach say he would consider putting in his application for the vacant position.

The 39-year-old holds a UEFA License B coaching certificate and a German Football Federation coaching certificate.

He was hired as a scout for Ghana during the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

Addo playing career, which saw him represent Hannover 96, Mainz 05, Borrusia Dortmund and Hamburg, was hampered by injuries.

He played at the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
