The Black Stars technical team has been involved in an accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road.

The technical members who were involved in the car crash included head coach, Otto Addo, assistant coach John Paintsil, and goalkeeper's trainer Fatawu Dadua.

The trio escaped the near-fatal accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road while on their way back to Accra after watching the Champions of Champions game between Premier League winner Samartex FC and Nsoatreman FC on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, none of the technical team members were hurt; however, John Paintsil complained about feeling pain in some parts of his body.

The Otto Addo-led technical team is expected to receive medical attention before they begin work ahead of Ghana's AFCON qualifiers against Angola.

The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before visiting Niger on September 9.
