Patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is reportedly set to announce a new Board of Directors for the club.

According to reports by Nhyira FM, the official announcement is expected before the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League commences in September.

Kotoko has been under an Interim Management Committee (IMC) for a year following the dismissal of the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led board.

The need for a substantial Board of Directors appears to be a requirement by the Club Licensing Committee.

Per the Committee's regulations, an interim body cannot run a club for more than a season.

The IMC, which ran the affairs of the club, consisted of Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, a chartered accountant and Kontomponiaferehene.

Other members were former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who served as the administrative manager.

However, Dasoberi could not complete the season with the club as he stepped down from his role.
