The board of Kotoko led by Paul Adu Gyamfi esp. and the Opoku Nti led management team will be replaced by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the upcoming days.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko struggled throughout the 2014-15, failing to defend both the league and FA Cup titles they won last season.

This average performance on the part of the Porcupine Warriors has put much pressure on the hierarchy of the Porcupine Warriors.

There has been internal wrangling in Kotoko, after the season came to a close, due to the decision of Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, a member of the club’s Africa Cup committee to bring on board a Danish trainer to assume post as technical director of the Porcupine outfit

Reports reaching Allsports.com.gh indicates that Dr. Frimpong is set to be named as the board chairman to replace the former President of the Ghana Bar Association while Samuel Osei Kuffour is to take over from Samuel Opoku Nti as the General Manager of the club.

The management team that will be headed by Osei Kuffour, a member of the current Kotoko board and also a former Bayern Munich and Black Stars defender will appoint Owusu Bempah as Communications Manager, while Nana Kwame Dankwah will be the Accra Rep.

What even makes it clear that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has been spoken to by the Manhyia Palace is that he said in an interview that he will be the final decision maker when it comes to appointment in the club.

“I will be the last killer behind to appoint managers for Asante Kotoko,” he told Angel FM.
