Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has assured that his team’s chance conversion will improve as the season progresses.
The Porcupine Warriors have been creating good chances but are faced with poor finishing, leading to the club scoring just six goals in their opening six games of the season.
“In terms of goal scoring today, if you compare the shots on target, I think there were more than in previous games. Now that the shots are hitting the target and the goalkeepers are making saves, gradually, with time, they’ll find the back of the net. It’s a gradual process.
“Maybe at first, we were creating chances, but they weren’t even hitting the target. Now we’re creating, and they’re hitting the target. So, definitely, the confidence will rise with the support,” Ogum said after the game against Samartex.
The Porcupine Warriors are second on the league table with 14 points, one behind Gold Stars, having played a game less and remain unbeaten this season.
