Our draw was a fair result - Herbert Addo

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Hebert Addo says the 1-1 draw in his side’s match day 10 league game against Hasaacas at the Essipong sports stadium was a true reflection of the game.

Hearts of Oak struck the first goal in the first half of the game, but the home side came back strongly to draw level from the spot as both teams battled each other to settle for a point apiece.

“If you watch the nature of the game, I’m not surprised about the score line (1-1) because it could have gone either way but in the end nobody won and nobody lost so I think it was a fair result,” Herbert Addo told the press after the game.

He added: “In the ongoing league, we have play some matches which we played absolutely fantastic and loss but this match [Hasaacas/Hearts] it was a game of two equals, I taught Hasaacas played very well and when teams are playing Hearts of Oak they give 120% so it became very difficult for us but I taught my boys [Players] did very well in getting a point in the game,” he added.

However, the 65 year old trainer believes that, the kind of strong test giving to his team by Hasaacas will surely propel his side to victory in their upcoming CAF Confederation cup game against Senegalese side Olympic de Ngor.

“We have a very important match coming up and the Hasaacas game was a good warm-up for the players and I hope coming Sunday in the Confederation Cup game the players will be more relaxed and take their chances and the goals will come,” he said.
