Head coach of FC Samartex, Nurudeen Amadu, has lauded his team's exceptional home form as a pivotal factor in securing the Ghana Premier League title in just their second season.
FC Samartex clinched the title with two games to spare, defeating Bibiani GoldStars in a crucial match on matchday 32.
Amadu, who formerly managed King Faisal, has turned FC Samartex into a dominant force, especially at their home venue, the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
The team notched an impressive 16 wins out of 17 matches at home, with their sole defeat coming against Nations FC.
After triumphing over Accra Lions on the season's final day, Amadu highlighted his team's tenacity at home as an essential component of their triumph.
"The key is that if you want to maintain your position in the league, you must win most of your home games… that's what worked wonders for us. We calculated the number of points we could accumulate by winning most of our home games and focused on achieving that," he explained.
"As a nascent club like FC Samartex, we are immensely thankful to our fans and management for their unwavering support. Their contribution was instrumental in our journey to this point."
This victory propels FC Samartex into the forthcoming CAF Champions League, where they aspire to replicate the recent achievements of Ghanaian teams such as Medeama and Dreams FC in continental tournaments.
