The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) is mourning following the tragic deaths of forward Hans Kwofie and goalkeeper William Essu.
The Ghanaian football community has been left in shock after the untimely demise of the two talented players.
Hans Kwofie, a 35-year-old forward, met his untimely end in a fatal car accident near Dadwen, close to Tarkwa in Ghana's Western Region, on Friday afternoon. The vehicle involved in the incident was reportedly owned by Samuel Nzemaba, a former defender for Ghanaian football giants Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, according to initial reports.
In a separate incident, goalkeeper William Essu succumbed to his battle with an illness at the UCC Hospital. The exact nature of his illness remains undisclosed.
