PFAG mourns with late Ben Koufie’s family

The Professional Footballers Association (PFAG) of Ghana on Sunday called on the family of the late Ben Koufie to mourn with the bereaved family.

Led by the General Secretary of the association Mr. Anthony Baffoe, the PFAG presented a portrait picture of the late Ghana FA President and assured the family of their support in these trying times.

Speaking at the occasion, the General Secretary acknowledged the tremendous contribution of the late Ben Koufie to Ghana football in particular and Africa football in general.

“Mr. Ben Koufie was our leader and a legend. He has not only contributed to the development of Ghana football but Africa as a whole,” he said.

“It is sad that we have lost him but God knows best.

“We the PFAG want to assure you that we are with you in this difficult moment and we pray that you accept our condolences,” he added.

The late Ben Koufie passed on a week ago following a short sickness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Members of the PFAG who graced the occasion included, Anthony Baffoe, Solomon Torson, Yaw Acheampong, Afo Dodoo, Mercy-Tagoe Quarcoo, Ali Jarah and Saeed Adnan.
