PFAG reports Albanian club to FIFA for 'maltreating' Ghanaian player

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) is to report Albanian club FK Bylis for 'systematically mistreating' Ghanaian player Gideon Offei

Offei was not paid for three months, excluded from training sessions and kicked out of the hotel where the club had arranged accommodation for him.

The PFAG will file a complaint at FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber seeking overdue salary and compensation for the 20-year-old player.

Offei has told FIFPro of weeks of abusive treatment by the second-division club.

''I have had sleepless nights for one month,'' he said.

''One day when it was raining, the coach said there was no training. But when I got home, the club called and the president fined me for missing training.

''The team bus did not come to pick me up for training so I had to walk for one hour on my own.

''It's inhumane to be left out in the cold like this. When I spoke to my mother on a video call she started crying. She asked me to beg them to buy me a plane ticket home.''

FK Bylis signed Offei on a season-long loan from Albanian first-division club KF Tirana in September 2018.
