PLB selects McCarthy for Kotoko/Liberty duel

Accra, July 8, GNA - The Professional League Board (PLB) has selected Cape Coast-based referee Joseph McCarthy to officiate in this weekend 's premiership top liner between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Dandoman-based Liberty Professionals.

A.S. Seidu from Tamale and Aban Gyimah of Cape Coast would assist him on the lines at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. When King Faisal trek to the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra as guest of league leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak, Nsawam- based referee, R. M. Kwarning would take the centre stage with assistants made up Innocentia Agbanitor and Tetteh Opia from Ho and Koforidua respectively. P. K. Agego-Aziza from Tema would be in charge of the Swedru match between Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord and Sekondi Hasaacas. Samuel Quaye and Ashiety Armah, both from Accra will assist from the lines.

As Kade Hotspurs welcome Real Tamale United (RTU) at home grounds at Kade, referee C.M. Atsatsa and his two assistants, D. Y Asare and Victor Dwamena all from Tema would direct affairs. At the TemaSports stadium where Power FC clash with Berekum Arsenal, Mustapha Mohammed is expected to officiate in the middle to ensure a good game.

Brefo Takiwaa and Tabi Amponsah are to assists him on the lines. Stephen Oduro, E.T Allotey and Baah Emmanuel are to handle the Boafoakwa Tano and Real Sportive's game at the Sunyani Coronation Park. At the Kpando Sports stadium where Heart of Lions and Ashantigold are expected to sell out a cracker, Felix Armah will receive support from A.S.K Annor and M.A Pappoe to deliver. Tema-based Jacob Quarshie will be in charge of the Nkwakwa duel between Okwawu United and Dwarfs.

John Obuabisa and A.A Alhassan are to assist on the lines.
