Paintsil to visit the local black stars

Black Stars defender John Paintsil will visit the local Black Stars team today to encourage them ahead of their epic encounter in the finals against the Libyans on Saturday.

Paintsil who plies his trade in Cape Town for Santos has been impressed with the performance of the technical team and the playing body and has backed Maxwell Konadu and his charges to win the trophy.

I have watched them and am impressed with the performance of the team, they fought and tried to win something for mother Ghana, and watching them was a delight, most of them have not played at the big stage before so when opportunities comes like this they will have to grab it and that is what they have done, Ghanaians should be proud of them for what they have achieved, the technical team as done well and I will not be surprised if they win the cup”.

www.sports24gh.com can reveal that the Black Stars defender won’t be at the stadium to cheer the stars on because of his appearance as a pundit on Super Sports live show on Saturday to build up to the grand finale.

“It’s sad I cannot be in the stadium to watch them play and cheer them on, because I will be in the studio to discuss the game with Super Sports, but I know they can do well and win the cup for Ghana, am going there today (Thursday) to talk to them, motivate them and share my experience with them, is not easy to get to where they have and we are all proud of what they have done for our nation Ghana, Paintsil told www.sports24gh.com.

John Paintsil has played in five CAF African cup of Nations and two FIFA World cups with the Black Stars.
