Pastor Kwame Ayew has faith in Black Stars

Former national team striker, Kwame Ayew, strongly believes Ghana can go as far as win the FIFA World Cup in South Africa this summer.

Ayew has told 90 MINUTES that he is not limiting the Black Stars to nothing but the trophy itself. “Their chances are very good. I know they are not going to just play in the qualifying rounds and come back but are aiming for something big. “I’m solidly behind them and hope all their dreams and hopes do come true,” Ayew told this paper.

“The criticism of the coach is usual. It happens everywhere,” he added.

The hero of Ghana ’s Olympic bronze success at Barcelona 1992 has since retired from active football and is currently fulfilling what he says is a calling from the Lord. Mr. Ayew is now pastor of his own church, the Jesus is Lord Worldwide Ministries, located at East Legon in Accra which started just this year.

“It is a calling from God. When He calls you, you can’t say no. I am happy that I’m doing the work of God,” Ayew disclosed to 90 MINUTES.
