Pastor predicts doom for Prince Tagoe

Prince Tagoe’s career will crumble if he fails to fulfil a promise he made to a pastor during his time at German side Hofffenheim, a self-acclaimed evangelist Johnny Okasa has claimed.

The UK-based evangelist accused the Ghana striker of breaking his promise after he backed him spiritually to overcome his alleged heart related problems during his time at German outfit 1899 Hoffenheim in 2009.

Evangelist Okasa claimed on a Kumasi-based radio station on Wednesday that the Bursaspor man is paying a heavy price for a career that is going from bad to worse.

He said his spiritual backing helped Tagoe passed a second successful test after the initial examination showed he had heart problems.

It will be recalled that the former Partizan Belgrade attacker was involved in a huge dispute with the European side three years ago.

He was declared unfit on health grounds but four German heart experts unanimously declared him fit after a second round of examination, prompting the player’s representative to take legal action against the club.

The former Heart of Oak man has since lost the spark that made him one of the country’s lethal strikers and the evangelist fears his continous snub to fulfil his promise coud leave him without trace.

“I was recommended to Prince Tagoe when he was in trouble at that German club,” Okasa told Kumasi-based Anigye FM

“Indeed I told him before he signed with the club that he was going to be faced with the problem.

“And so when the issue came up, he looked for me for help and I obliged. I helped him on several occasions because he was a troubled man.

“I prayed for him and he was passed fit after the first test showed he had heart problems.

“After he was healed of all the spiritual troubles he started playing well but for some strange reasons he decided not honour his promise to God and that has accounted for his troubles.

“I know his story in-and-out. Unfortunatly the very hurtful and wrong thing is that Prince Tagoe is a very ungrateful person.

“He got what he wanted. He got more than he wanted but he never said thank you to the powers that helped him.

“I have nothing against him as a person but it the powers that that he has offended and until he remedy the situation, I can’t tell what will happen. But it is not looking good for him.”

The ex-Ettifaq and Al-Shabab forward has endured a turbulent season with Turkish side Bursaspor where he has featured 11 times and netted once.

He has also lost his place in the Black Stars.
