Karela United forward Charles Diawisie Taylor has disclosed that people have very high expectations of him, adding that he is aware that a lot of his admirers want to see him winning the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League Golden Boot Award.

The 20-year-old striker distinguished himself in the Normalizations Cup tournament last season where he netted nine goals in 11 games to send Karela United to the semifinals of the tournament.

The striker has since become the toast of many local football fans and has been tipped as one of the potential players to win the top scorers gong this season.

He is however yet to find the back of the net this season in the Ghana Premier League campaign after match-day two. His side has also managed just a point out of a possible six in their last two outings.

Nonetheless, Taylor has expressed his desire to live up to the expectations and says he’s working hard to annex the Ghana Premier League Golden Boot despite the big threat behind him.

“Expectations are very high but still what I can say is that my fans should keep praying for me and keep supporting me because I have to do a lot of things in this current season. I have to defend my title as a goal king so I am still training hard so that I keep scoring,” Taylor said in an interview monitored by Ghanaweb.
