Gwangyang (SK), Aug. 29, GNA - Head coach of the National U-17 soccer team, the Black Starlets Sellas Tetteh has said that the team's main problem was how to work out and avoid attracting more cards but not about how to beat their next opponents Peru in their quarter-final match on Saturday.

He said, "The way we are attracting cards is not good for us. We need to be careful and that is the next caution I would give to my boys before we crash Peru out to advance to the semi finals." He stated. Coach Tetteh told the media soon after the Starlets knocked out the much fancied Brazil on Wednesday to book a place in the quarter finals in Gwangyang stadium that he was not under-rating Peru but that he has the confidence of victory.

He said, "I'm not surprised that my boys won the match because of the quality game they exhibited right from the very day the competition commenced. I told the media earlier on that I have a team that I'm confident in and any team that would meet us was in for trouble and Brazil is among the first victims".

Coach Tetteh said the future was bright for the players but "our greatest enemy now is the number of cards we are attracting but by the grace of God and hard work things would be better and victory would remain with us until we lift the cup on September 9."

He said the team would adopt various strategies day after day to ensure that no team upsets them now that Brazil was out of the way.

"Playing with 10 men down for more than 50 minutes shows that we are superior than Brazil and I believe if we were equal in numbers the score line would have been different," he added.

The glorious Starlets defeated Brazil by a lone goal in Gwangyang to qualify to the quarter finals, which would take place in Cheangwan on Saturday. Nigeria would be locking horns with Colombia, another South American side on Thursday at the same pitch to see who packs out of the competition.
