Kofi Manu, a close ally of embattled GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi says the clubs have no legal basis to seek the dissolution of the Executive Committee of the GFA.

Some local clubs have initiated the process to dissolve the EXCO of GFA by requesting all clubs to append their signatures to a petition seeking to pass a vote of no confidence in the injuncted defunct committee but according to the self-styled football lawyer the clubs do not have the locus to do so.

Typical of Kofi Manu, he quoted some Articles in the GFA statutes to support his argument that the EXCO in it's current state has done no wrong to be dissolved.

He further questioned the authenticity and credibility of the expo?e on football corruption by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye Pi which has led to government's decision to go to court to for the dissolution of the GFA.

"They can't dissolve the EXCO because they have not done anything wrong to be dissolved and it is only Congress that can sack executive committee members so what they're doing is an exercise in futility." "Even with those who were captured in the expo?e, none of them have been declared guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction so it's not right to base on that to seek for the dissolution of the committee."

Kofi Manu is a former Vice Chairman of the Player Status Committee and was fingered in the #Number12 expo?e as one of the corrupt elements within the GFA as he was captured accepting a bribe of Gh¢3,000.00.
