Saddick Adams was the hero as Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak to lift the 2017 MTN FA Cup at the Tamale stadium on Sunday.
The 27-year-old bagged a hat-trick in the first half to hand coach Stephen Pollack his first major silverware as coach of the Kumasi-based club.
Hearts got a consolation through skipper Thomas Abbey.
The two teams observed a minute silence before kickoff in memory of the late goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye.
Kotoko aside winning the bragging rights and a prize money of GHC50,000 will also represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup competition next year.
Kotoko have thus won the last bragging rights of the season, the GH¢50,000 prize money as well as a place in the CAF Confederation Cup competition for next season
