Pimpong signs for Ringkobing

Former Ghana international Razak Pimpong has signed for Danish second-tier side Ringkobing.

The 30-year-old will combine his new role with his administrative duties at Viborg FF.

Pimpong retired from Viborg FF to join the club's administration whilst he was given the mandate to sign for a lower division side if he wishes.

“Ringkøbing IF are doing a really good project and I would like to help,” Pimpong as quoted on the club’s Facebook page. “I know Jens Nielsen (coach) from my time in Ikast, and therefore it was not hard to say yes.”

“Football is an important part of me and has been since I started as five. After I stopped in Viborg, it has been a little hard for me. I've thought it through and missed the pitch. My speed is still there, and I hope through my personality and routine I can help some of the players.”

“There are many talented footballers and it seems like there is a great camaraderie in the club. Hopefully, we get to play for the fun part of the table.
