The Black Stars produced a disjointed performance to earn a point against a spirited Mozambican side who also picked up their first point of the qualifying campaign.
Ebenezer Assifuah and Jordan Ayew all wasted glorious chances while defender John Boye produced crucial clearances to save Ghana from defeat.
Razak Brimah - 6/10
The Cordoba justified his selection over Portland Timbers's Adam Kwarasey with a brilliant tip to prevent Dominguez from snatching the opener for the Mambas.
Harrison Afful - 5.5/10
Afful was exposed at times but he made good recovery. The Mambas felt comfortable using his lines to prepare ammunition to launch attacks.
Baba Rahman - 6/10
The Chelsea defender tracked well in defence and was great going forward. Didn't have much defensive duties on the afternoon as he was covered by the versatility if Schlupp.
John Boye - 7/10
No nonsense defending from the Sivasspor man. He was workaholic all afternoon. Had no time to tolerate
Jonathan Mensah - 6/10
Steered an Alfred Duncan corner kick just wide. Patrolled the central defensive line with admirable aerial command and stead.
Afriyie Acquah - 6/10
The Torino man marshaled the midfield with great diligence and powerful cord. Made it impossible for the hosts to use the central area to launch attacks.
Joseph Alfred Duncan - 6.5/10
Great articulate set-piece contractor. The Sassuolo midfielder distributed well-taken crosses and intelligent passes from midfield. Combined well with Torino midfielder Acquah to narrow the midfield space.
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu - 6/10
The Udinese man took the armband in the absence of Asamoah Gyan and vice Andre Ayew. He endured a quiet first-half at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto. He was limited by the presence of Duncan in his area. The midfield trio failed to combine.
Jeffrey Schlupp - 6/10
The Leicester City had a great chance to steal the win for Ghana in the dying embers of the game but his left-foot let him down as he fired wide.
Jordan Ayew - 6.5/10
Ayew was dropped to a deep lying role - meaning he had to work to create chances for Assifuah and, the Villa man did great work with that. Teed and upped for a clever play for midfield and was shocked to see his effort blocked by the hosts keeper in the 73rd minute.
Ebenezer Assifuah - 6/10
Missed a golden opportunity to fired Ghana ahead on the 8th minute but he sent his header wide. The FC Sion man was a big nightmare for Edmilson Dove. The 21-year-old defender had no clue to deal with the pace and power of the FC Sion attacker. Replaced by Majeed Waris with 12 minutes of normal time to end.
