GHANAsoccernet.com's El Akyereko rates the performance of players of the Black Stars at the Anjalay Stadium as Ghana reached the 2017 AFCON tournament after a crucial 2-0 win over minnows Mauritius at Port Louis on Sunday.

Swansea City star Andre Ayew opened the scoring for the Black Stars following a dazzling move by Chelsea defender Baba Rahman on 71 minutes.

Malaga winger Christian Atsu who joined the La Liga outfit from Chelsea sealed the win for Avram Grant's men in the entertaining duel.

Below is the full rating of the players:

Razak Brimah (Goalkeeper) 7/10

The Cordoba goalkeeper was virtually on holiday as the Black Stars dominated possession with and kept the pressure off the defence and goalkeeper.

Baba Rahman (Left-Back) 7/10

Awesome display from the Chelsea man. He was solid defensively and eye-catching going forward. He was the architect of the opening goal scored by Andre.

Harrison Afful (Right-Back) 6.5/10

The Columbus Crew man uncharacteristically gave away two key passes in vital areas. Though he was excellent going forward, his defensive efforts were put under scrutiny with a shaky display.

Jonathan Mensah (Central Defence) 7/10

Had a mixed season with Anzhi and Evian TG in Russia and France but was a tower of defence at the back in the game. Great Display from the strong man.

John Boye (Central Defence) 7/10

Scored high marks on the afternoon. The Mauritius strikeforce led by Kelvin Bru was no match for the defensive abilities of the Sivasspor man.

Afriyie Acquah (Defensive Midfielder) 7/10

Bossed the midfield in the first-half and distributed passes but failed to press the opposition through the middle something his replacement - Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu did to pin down the hosts defence and created the avenue for the opening goal to be scored.

Wakaso Mubarak (Central Midfielder) 8/10

The Las Palmas winger lived up to expectation with his workaholic midfield display but was just denied his opportunity to shoot from range. Good display.

Christian Atsu (Attacking Midfielder) 8/10

Crawled from a periphery first-half performance to brighten up Ghana's attack in the second-half. The Chelsea man who spent last season on loan at Malaga in the Spanish La Liga scored Ghana's second goal with a clinical finish.

Andre Ayew (Attacking Midfielder) 9/10 (C)

Despite wasting a string of fine chances, the English Premier League star scored an artful finish in the 71st minute to open the scoring for the Black Stars. Ayew had unbelievably skied two chances at the Stade George V.

Jordan Ayew (Forward) 7/10

Excellent all-round performance from the Aston Villa man. He dropped deep to work hard, linked well and flourished in his attacking role.

Frank Acheampong (Attacking Midfielder) 7/10

The Anderlecht winger dazzled on the flanks and caused problems for the hosts lateral defence with his nimble foot, pace and skill. Replaced by Atletico Madrid midfielder Partey in the dying embers of the game.
