Swansea City could lose their prized asset Andre Ayew this season after he was snubbed for both the fans and players player of the year award.

The 26-year-old Ghana international has been a massive hit since joining Swansea City in the summer as a free agent.

The Ghana international has earned the reputation of scoring in big games after scoring against Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool in his maiden season in England.

Ayew has made mockery of the regular saying that new signings normally require time to settle in the high pressing English football after he scored a beauty in his debut game and has followed that with ten more strikes.

With 11 goals and 3 assists in his debut season for the Swans who have endured a difficult season as a whole, many had tipped the Ghanaian to pick up the clubs player of the season.

Instead he was awarded the best signing of the season and named joint top scorer alongside star man of the evening Gylfi Sigurdsson who swept home four awards on the night among them being the prestigious player of the year award.

The Swans will now have to embrace pressure ahead of a summer where clubs will try to lure the former Marseille man out of the Liberty stadium.
