The Black Satellites will now have to win or get a draw against Mali in the final group game on Saturday to stand a chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

FootballMadeInGhana.com rated the performance of the players over (10).

Ghana

16. Abdul Manaf Nurudeen (GK) (4/10) – Committed a lot of errors in the first half. Could have done better for both goals he conceded with good timing and positioning.

4. Maxwell Arthur – (5/10) Decent game by Maxwell Arthur. Was defensively solid and made a lot of surging runs upfront but was nervous, especially in the second half.

12. Montari Kamaheni (5/10) – A game to forget for the Dreams FC left back. Could have done better on the first goal. Was very productive upfront, winning a lot of free kicks for Ghana but was defensively poor. He improved in the second half as Ghana pushed for goals.

14. Ishaku Konda ( 4/10) – The captain had a torried time in the first half. Failed to mark Badji for both goals. Poor decisions making combined with lose marking on his part resulted in both goals by the Senegalese.

20. Gideon Mensah (5/10) – Uncharacteristically sloppy in defence as he was well below his brilliant best. Just like his partner. Not the best of games.

5. Sabit Abdulai (5/10) -Was poor today, he was going forward all the time but couldn’t provide a proper shield for the defence.

7. Emmanuel Kumah (4/10) – Another player who faded in the first half. He made a lot of purposeless runs in the first period as the team crumbled and lost all the ideas. Came off for Prosper Ahiabu in the second half.

10. Kudus Mohammed (7/10) – Ghana best player by miles. Polished and composed midfield display. Couldn’t effect the results of the game with his solo performance .

17. Enock Atta Agyei (4/10) – Was just a passenger in the first half didn’t threaten much. Improve after the interval. Needed to be on the ball more. But the Senegalese out-muscled him many times.

9. Emmanuel Toku (4/10) – Was preferred ahead of Sadiq Ibrahim, sluggish at times, unnecessary dribbling on the wings. Didn’t create any chance in the game. Was shut down by the giant-looking Senegalese.

18. Daniel Lomotey (5/10) –
Drifted further away from goal as he got increasingly frustrated. He was non-existent in the game as the Senegalese blocked his supplies.

Substitutes

Ibrahim Sadiq (4/10) – Came on for Toku and brought on new energy into the team. He was swift and strong on the flanks and troubled the Senegalese.

Prosper Ahiabo (3/10) – Brought on to add more bite in midfield. Came on with 23 minutes to go but did his best. Sat too deep in midfield which help to stabilize the midfield in the second half.

Senegal

16. Dialy Ndiaye (GK) – 4/10
Was not overly tested but the few occasions he was, he did well.

5. Souleymane Aw – 6/10
A member of the back three from the right. Was aggressive and made sure he defended instead of attacking too much. Had a good game.

13. Souleymane Cisse – 6/10
Played on the left side of the Senegal defence. Was too aggressive and created a barrier to shield his goalie.

2. Moussa Ndiaye – 6/10
Played in the center of defence. He doesn’t have great height and a giant posture but was overly intelligent and aggressive. He shut Ghana’s Lomotey off.

4. Ousseynou Diagne – 7/10
The Senegal skipper was hugely productive. He defensively protected his back line and was offensively good. He won all aerial duels and was aggressive.

17. Dion Lopy – 5/10
Was tactically disciplined and kept the Ghana midfield out of shape. His strength and aggression were positive attributes.

3. Fermose Mendy – 5/10
Not a bad output. Good passing and aggression were his positives.

11. Mamadou Danfa – 7/10
Was a torn in the flesh of the Ghana defence. Provided an assist for Senegal’s opener with a magnificent effort.

10. Ibrahima Drame – 6/10
Was very swift and attacked well. He always strengthened the Senegalese front and caused a lot of problems for Ghana.

18. Faly Ndaw – 5/10
Not a bad game but was kept out by Maxwell Arthur. He’s swift and very good on the ball.

19. Youssouph Badji – 8/10
Had a great game. Scored twice and proved a huge trouble for the defence.

Substitutes

15. Ousseynou Niang – 4/10
Came on for Mamadou Danfa and continued what Danfa was doing. Swift on the flanks and strong too.

20. Amadou Ciss – 4/10
Came on to strengthen the Senegal team. Pushed to increase the tally but was denied.

9. Amadou Ndiaye – 3/10
Came of for double-goal scorer Badji and also did well. But his timing was short.
