Amos Frimpong, captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has said, one of the most significant highlights of his professional career is when he played full time in a Black Stars jersey.

The right-back was among the three local players invited by Coach Kwesi Appian for the senior national team's doubleheader with Kenya and Mauritania.

The defender was the only player among the local components to play all the minutes in the Mauritania friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

The Black Stars won the match by 3 - 1.

In an interview with the GNA Sports after the game, Frimpong said it was an unforgettable experience for him to be in the senior national team colours.

He said he would continue to work hard to earn more opportunities to serve the country. "It was the greatest feeling, I will never forget. The coach told the three of us after the game that, we did well and he was impressed. I hope to continue to honour my country in this way by working harder," Frimpong said.
