Polo survives as Hearts of Oak fire four

Hearts of Oak have parted ways with four backroom staff “due to ongoing organizational, restructuring exercise within the club.”

Assistant coach Ben Adjei, reserve team coach Jacob Nettey, goalkeepers’ trainer Dan Tettevi and welfare manager Nat Ofosu “mutually agreed” to sever ties with the Phobians.

According to a press statement from the club, Eben Armah Dida and former captain Yaw Amankwa Mireku have been appointed as goalkeepers’ coach and team manager respectively.

Commey Bortsie is to head the Physiotherapy Department of the Accra giants.

Mohammed Polo remains coach of the side.
