Pont tight-lipped on Ghana’s job

Former Egyptian head coach is tight-lipped on becoming the next Black Stars coach after media reports claimed he has been shortlisted among 5 other candidates for the vacant job.

Patrick Kluivert, Avram Grant, Marco Tardelli, are among the favorites for the job, but in an exclusive interview, the former Egyptian coach claims there are agents who are working for him as he is yet to officially endorse his candidature.

“There are agents in Ghana who are working for me, but I cannot say that I have applied for the job or not, but indeed they confirmed to me that they have applied for the job.

“The Ghana Black Stars team is so lucrative and it will be difficult for every coach to turn it down, I will not cry foul if I’m not given the job, but I’m just hoping my agents will do a decent job for me” Pont said.

Sources close to Sportscrusader.com have it that, Football Administrator, Kurt Okreku is behind the application of Micheal Pont.

It will be recalled that early this year, Kurt Okreku was reported to have approached Klaus Toppmoller for the Black Stars Technical Director job.
