Gamba All Blacks managed to beat in-form Liberty Professionals by a lone goal in their Second Week clash of the Oneotouch Premiership played at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday.
All Blacks got their winner through Liberty's defender Richard Kissi's deflection from a Richard Nyanful feeble shot which beat goalkeeper Patrick Antwi in the second minute.
After the goal, the Dansoman lads launched an attack into the homesters half in a bid to get the equalizer but that remained elusive to the end.
The game from then became a balanced game till the 40th and 45th minutes when Liberty's Mohammed Rabiu gave a neat cross to team mate Yaw Antwi but the striker shot wide and again hit the cross bar on both occasions.
Liberty started the second half with more pressure on the "Black Magicians" with striker Antwi being a thorn in the flesh on the defence of the home side.
In the 53rd minute, Antwi had the empty net at his disposal to fetch the equaliser after All Black's goalie Cudjoe Addo was completely beaten but his shot was cleared off the goal line by Daniel Danjuma to the relief of the home fans.
Sam Yeboah received a yellow card after a stamp on All Blacks defender Amidu Bordong in the 63rd minute.
All Blacks appealed for a penalty award in the 85th minute but referee Seidu Bomison of Wa whistled against the home side to the displeasure of the expectant crowd.
Both teams effected series of substitutions to beef up their attacking machinery till the referee brought proceedings to an end.
