Premier League returns on Wednesday

Accra, Oct. 27, GNA 96 The One Touch Premier League will resume on Wednesday, November 1, after a brief suspension following a court injunction initiated by one Emmanuel Otu Kwei, which placed an interlocutory injunction on the league last Friday.

Otu Kwei's action was to compel the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to clarify sections of the rules and regulations which deals with player transfers and registration.

A statement issued from the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) copied to the GNA Sports, said the resumption of the League was due to a successful meeting held between the association and the plaintiff, after which the latter agreed to withdraw the case from the court.

The statement has therefore advised the various Clubs and stakeholders to take note of the latest events in order to honour the eighth Week League matches.
