President Nana Akufo-Addo has reinstated Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide and the Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, Mr. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang after exonerating them from any wrongdoing in the visa scandal at this year's Commonwealth Games held in Australia.

The duo was suspended for an alleged role played in visa racketeering at this year's game which led to over 50 'journalist' deported back home after failing immigration test.

But Prez. Akufo-Addo last Saturday at New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference in Koforidua hinted that Mr. Hadzide had been cleared from any wrongdoing and would resume work on Monday.

A press statement signed by Director of Communication at the Presidency, Mr. Eugene Arhin, reads:"the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reinstated with immediate effect, the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Pius Enam Hadzie and the Chairperson of the Board of the National Sports Authority, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, following the completion of investigations into the 'Australia Visa Scandals' by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service.

"The report of the inquiry into the allegations, which was submitted to the President on Friday, 6th July, 2018 contained no adverse findings against them".
