President Nana Akufo-Addo has sent a good luck message to the national under-17 team , the Black Starlets ahead of their final AFCON game against Mali.
Speaking at the 42nd SWAG awards, the president acknowledged the impressive performance of the youngsters and urged them to beat Mali and bring home the trophy.
The President revealed that he will be visiting his counterpart, the Mali president tomorrow and a win by the Starlets will set his help him ‘tease’ President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta.
“I want to use this opportunity to wish the Black Starlets well in the u-17 AFCON final. I will be in Mali tomorrow and it will be nice for me to be able to tease President Boubacar Keïta.rather than the reverse”.
The President followed it up with tweet that reads: The very best of luck to the Black Starlets in today's U-17 final game against Mali. Go for gold!!

The Starlets have been outstanding in the tournament, scoring 9 goals and conceding none on their way to the finals.
They however have to be at their very best to beat the defending champions.
Paa Kwesi Fabin’s boys booked a place in the finals of this year’s Africa Junior Championship after defeating Niger 6-5 on penalties.
The Starlets are on course to win Ghana its first AJC title since 1998.
