Pressure eases on Yaw Preko as Ifeanyi Ubah returns to winning ways

Pressure eases on Yaw Preko Pressure eases on Yaw Preko

Yaw Preko’s Ifeanyi Ubah FC were in a cruise control as they thrashed Remo Stars of Sagamu 3-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled match day 8 at the Ifeanyi Ubah International stadium, Nnewi- Ozubulu yesterday.

The under-pressure Ghanaian coach needed a massive response from his players after their recent dip in form in the NPFL coupled with their elimination from this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

And he certainly got it, in a very fascinating game against Remo Stars.
Ifeanyi Onuigbo mesmerized the defence line of the visitors in the 55th minute but his eventual shot was handled by a defender of Remo Stars for a penalty. Obaje wasted no time in converting the spot kick for his first goal of the season for the Anambra Warriors.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s offensive onslaught paid off again in the 83rd when Ado Blaise nodded the ball into the net of the Sagamu side, off a pullout from Alberico Da Silva.
