The midweek of the exhilarating and competitive Ghana premier league will be played at all league centers tomorrow. The GPL is getting fierce as teams battle for the top position, while at the bottom half of the table, the relegation battle is still on.

The gate of the danger zone is drawing closer as team look to sneak out before it finally shuts at the end of the season. At the Accra Sports stadium, Hearts will invite league leaders Aduana Stars who are looking to win their 1st game away for the first time in six outings, (W0, D3, and L3) to maintain their top spot.

The host has also lost just once in its last 10 home games, (W7, D2, and L1) and are just four points from the first position. Berekum Chelsea are looking to win four games on the road for the first time this season but faces a team who are just one step above the relegation zone.

The “Len Clay” Park, where Ashanti Gold have picked up twelve points from a possible fifteen, will welcome Chelsea whom they have won just twice against them on home soil in six attempts, (D4, L0).

Liberty are currently 14th on the league log and it’s not surprising after recording just one win in their last five games (L4, D0), and scoring just 4 goals.

The scientific soccer lads will welcome Bechem United at the Cal Reindolf Park. The visitors’ lies 9th on the table but they are also struggling away from home after losing their last five away games and winning just once in the last nine (D0, L8).

Another big clash will see Medeama host Dwarfs at the Tarkwa T&A Park. Both teams have accumulated the same points (35) in 25 game weeks. The “yellow and mauve” team re unbeaten by the away team on home soil since 2010.

One of the title contenders are WAFA, with 46 points at 2nd place on the league log, they welcome Great Olympics at the Sogakope, where they are unbeaten in 12 outings, winning 11 and drawing once, scoring 23 goals in the process. This is WAFA’s best home record in the league this season.

The away side is struggling for points at the relegation zone and will be looking to pull a surprise. The “whipping boys” in the premier league Bolga All Stars, have picked up just 12 points from a possible 75.

They invite Tema youth to Tamale Park where they have won just twice in their last ten games. The visiting team won the first leg against the Tamale-based team and kept a clean sheet.

After a fine form in their previous four games under new coach Yaw Acheampong, the gaffer tasted a defeat for the first time, they face the Porcupine Warriors Asante Kotoko at the Nduom Park.

This is the fixture which will determine whether the “Pocupine Warriors” stands the chance of winning the league or not. Kotoko has lost their last two away fixtures in the league.

Wa All Stars who are the defending champions has zilch chances of retaining the league this season, after recording just 35 points in 25 games and are lying 7th on the league log. Meanwhile the host (Inter Allies) has a magnificent record at home (El Wak) this season, after winning 6 games in their last 7 conceding just once in the process.
