Ghana female star Princella Adubea aims at winning Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year Award.

The Spanish based forward made a mark while trading in Ghana where she emerged as top scorer in the National Women’s League on two seasons on the trot.

She joined Spanish women’s top-flight side Sporting de Huelva following her stupendous performances.

Adubea wants to get her name in the history books of Africa women's football.

"Yes for sure, I am hoping for that, that’s my aim, I listen to my coaches and personally I feel anything you do you have to set a target and that is my target and am working towards that," she said during a twitter conversation with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.

"It is a matter of time, the likes of Oshoala started just like me and they are making it now and I know my time will also come."

The 2017 SWAG female footballer of the year wasn't included in the Black Queens squad for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana due to an injury.

Ex-Black Queens duo Alberta Sackey and Adwoa Bayor remain only Ghanaians to have ever won the Africa women’s footballer of the year award.

Nigeria superstar Asisat Oshoala is the current holder of the prestigious award and she has won on four occasions.
