Accra, March 10, GNA - Ghana's Black Princesses may make a tour of Europe or the United State of America ahead of their maiden U-19 World Cup appearance in Germany in the summer.
The Princesses took one of the two slots reserved for Africa after scoring eight goals and conceding none for the global showpiece. Bearing any unforeseen hitches, the team could begin an intensive preparation that would take them to some parts of Africa and Europe or America right after the Easter break early next month.
The GNA Sports can confirm that plans are in progress for the Ghana football Association (GFA) to approve a detailed program that would commence with a month's internal camping and a nation-wide tour before a proposed three-week fitness exercise in South Africa.
The nation-wide tour, according to a "supreme" source at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) would take the team to the Central, Northern and Western Regions in search of reinforcement.
Information pieced together by GNA Sports indicates that the Princesses may also engage Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria or South Africa in an international friendly to fine-tune their preparation.
With all these arrangements slated for the next seven to eight weeks, the Princesses are expected to enjoy a few days break before embarking on another three-week to step up their preparations. The outline pegged at getting the team in shape will similarly scout for additional talent to beef up the squad billed to arrive in Germany five days ahead of the July 13 kickoff.
About 30 players are expected to begin preparation in the technical team's quest to pick the best 21 for the quadrennial fiesta. Ghana and Nigeria are Africa's representatives at the global event.
