Ex-Karela United coach Prosper Nartey has opened up on his surprise exit from the club less than one-month in charge.

The University of Cape Coast lecturer replaced coach Johnson Smith who left the Anyinase-based side to join Asante Kotoko prior to the start of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

According to coach Nartey, his philosophy, plans and demands were not accepted by the club despite the promising nature of his task.

"I left Karela United FC because of some misunderstanding. The club wasn’t ready to accept my philosophy, plans and demands," he said in an exclusive interview with Cape Coast based Yes FM.

"Some of the old players performance weren’t convincing to my standard, which some of those old players thought they are seniors and therefore they deserve to be there.

"I will advice club administrator to stop imposing player on coaches and this is because the coach would be blamed when the results are not coming."

Nartey is currently the head coach of WAFA.
