Quaye's Ittihad move collapses

Ghanaian midfielder Awuley Quaye Junior's move to Egyptian Premier League side El-Itthad El-Iskandary has collapsed after both parties failed to agree on a fee.

"The gap between Ittihad's offer and Junior's demands is wide," the former Zamalek's man agent Mounir Hassan Claimed.

It remains to be seen whether Ittihad would be able to meet Junior's financial requirements.

The 28-year-old is a known figure in Egypt after he played two seasons for Zamalek between 2005 and 2007.

Ittihad are seeking to reinforce their squad before the closure of the transfer window in order to improve their league position. They currently lie eighth in the 16-team table. The club have recently signed two strikers in Ismaili's Amr Samir and Gaish's Hassan Mousa.
