The National Chapters Committee Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Barima Atuahene warned the team not to use Burkinabe goalie Soulama Abdoulaye in the Super Clash with Asante Kotoko for superstitious reasons, a source close to the board has revealed.

The NCC Chairman who has been handed a two-year ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA for inciting the club’s fans against match officials is quoted to have disclosed to the board that the Burkinabe would score an own goal if he keeps the post.

The source further revealed that management members of the club were informed about the miraculous revelation of the NCC Chairman but the head coach of the side rejected the claim.

To the top hierarchy of the club, Soulama’s howler was not a surprise as they were in the known as to what will transpire during the game.

Soulama, a former Asante Kotoko shot stopper failed to kick a back pass from defender Richard Akrofi resulting in an own goal which gifted the Porcupine Warriors with the maximum three points.
