League leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak and bottom Club, Real Tamale United (RTU) settled for a goalless drawn game in their GT Onetouch Premier League match played at the Tema Sports Stadium on Wednesday. Hearts who looked poised to wallop their opponents, failed to utilize a number of scoring chances that came their way as Stanley Afedzie, Moses Andoh and Eric Gawu messed up chances in the 10th, 16th and 21st minutes.
Left of the hook, RTU repulsed the attack and nearly went ahead in the 39th minute but Gafaru Abdallah squandered the clear chance.
The game from then became a ding-dong affair as both teams fought in search for the opener which failed to come till the end of the first half.
On resumption of the second half, both teams continued probing for goals which failed to materialize as their attackers continued to mess up the chances.
Hearts nearly had the last laugh in the 85th minute when Hassan Mohammed with only goalkeeper Najawu Issah to beat shot off target to the relief of the visitors. Kwasi Soale of RTU was adjudged the best player of the match.
