Raphael Dwamena strikes double for Liefering in Austria

Ghanaian youth international Raphael Dwamena scored a brace for Liefering to propel them to an emphatic 3-0 away win over FAC Wien in the Austrian second-tier league on Friday.

The 20-year-old Nkawkaw-born hammered the opener for Liefering after the hosts had squandered a penalty in the opening minutes of the game.

He rounded up the victory for Liefering with a sensational 91st minute finish at the FAC-Platz in Vienna.

The 1.84 m center forward has now bagged five (5) goals in 24 league appearances for Liefering this season.

While he was scoring Ghana international defender Isaac Vorsah came off the bench before the start of the second-half to play for Liefering while goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi returned from the Liefering second team to save a penalty in the clash.

David Atanga who has notched 10 goals in the season was not in the Liefering squad for the game.

Dwamena has been linked with a move away from Liefering at the end of the current season.
