Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila helped his Al Qadsia side to a 3-0 victory over Al Shabab in the Kuwaiti league opener on Thursday night.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Asante Kotoko man played full throttle as his side raced to the summit of the league table with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Al Shabab.

A goal from Abdul Aziz on the 39th minute gave Al Qadsia the lead before Ahmed Al Dhefiri and Mohammed Al Fahad sealed the victory in the second half of the game for the Kuwaiti giants.

The heavy victory puts Al Qadsia on the summit of the league table with 3 points and 3 goals after match day one.
