Rashid Sumaila inspires Al Qadsia to a 4-0 win

Rashid Sumaila’s Al Qadsia enjoyed a party last night as they mauled title contenders Al Salmiya by 4-0 in a top of the table clash in the Kuwaiti Pro League.

Mohammed Fahad opened the scoring in the first half before the visitors registered their mauling in the second half by scoring three goals.

Bader Motawa added the second in the early stages of the second half before Mohammed Fahad added his second and Al Qadsia’s third.

Fahad Ansari fetched the fourth goal of the night with few minutes to end regulation time.

Both teams were pegged on top of the table with 44 points each with Al Qadsia leading with superior goal aggregate.

But the win yesterday has cemented Al Qadsia’s position on top of the table stretching the lead by three points.

Rashid Sumaila was in the news again as his defensive exploits guided the side to keep a clean sheet with the fans and players mobbing him and singing him praises after the game.

The win means Al Qadsia are inches away from the Kuwaiti League title with 6 matches to go.

Rashid has been very instrumental in masterminding Al Qadsia to the top of the table this season and was a huge decision maker in the game.

Al Qadsia have so far conceded 10 goals in 18 matches scoring 47 in the process.
