Former Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila will donate football equipment and drinks to the club ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash with Techiman Cuity FC on Sunday.
The equipment will include footballs, cones for training drills and football bibs as well as energy drinks and bottled water.
The short ceremony will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of kickoff.
The Al Qadsia defender did a similar donation for Ebusua Dwarfs where he started his football career.
According to Sumaila, the donations are demonstrating his love and support for both clubs as he aims at motivating the players to win their matches.
“My love for both clubs cannot be compared. I really admire both clubs and I must also recognize the contribution they have made to my life,” he said.
“What I intend doing for Kotoko is just to motivate them to win against Techiman City,” he added.
A package will also be given to the team for a win over the Ghana Premier League newcomers.
