Three presidents, two former and one present, have attended the testimonial match for ex-Black Stars Captain Stephen Appiah.
Sitting president John Mahama today joined former presidents John Kufour, and Jerry Rawlings to bid an emotional farewell to Appiah who is calling it quits after close to three decades of professional football.
Stephen Appiah’s Testimonial match saw some of the world’s biggest names in the sport including Samuel Eto descend on the Accra Sports Stadium for the send off.
Appiah played for some of the best clubs in Europe including Italian giants Juventus during a career largely described as successful.
He qualified Ghana to her first World Cup in Germany in 2006.
