Ray Narh for WBC International title in Macau

Unwavering world title hopeful Ray Narh hopes to once again press his case for a crack at a world title shot when he fights Prawet Singwancha of Thailand in China mainland of Macau on July 30 for the WBC International Light welterweight belt.

Narh, (25-2, 21 KOs), famously known to his fans as the Emperor is smarting from his second career loss in his last fight against American Mike Alvarado last May 7. It is a defeat he blamed on an illness hours before entering the ring, and is counting on victory against the experienced Singwancha (46-3-2, 26 KOs) to authenticate his claim for bragging rights among the big boys of the light welterweight division of world boxing. But 34 year old Singwancha will not come cheap as his experience of 51 professional fights indicate. The Thailand boxer has held the WBC International Light welterweight belt since taking it via a unanimous points decision victory over Heri Andriyato in April 2009 and has previously also twice challenged for the WBA Lightweight world title.

But 32 year old Raymond Narh who remains unrelenting in his pursuit of the elusive world title he so craves, has vowed to silence Singwancha, take the WBC International Light Welterweight crown, add it to the WBC / USNBC Light welterweight title he already holds and up his ratings in the quest for a crack at any of the world titles.

“I am glad for this opportunity and the experience of the opponent is one that I have to cope with because this is my chance to break through and put myself back on the frontline.

“I have prepared very well and I promise my fans and Ghanaians all over the world that I will not disappoint them. Everyone should pray for me and we shall all celebrate big,” Narh told SportsInGhana.com from his US base.
